Students in Ogun State, Nigeria are studying under unconducive environment as some of the schools do not have toilets. Inquest showed that pupils go to the bush in such schools to defecate.

However, the State government under the leadership of Governor Ibikunle Amosu is carrying out renovation of schools to ensure that students have a conducive learning environment to bring the best out of them.

Some of the principals of the affected schools solicited for government support especially in the area of infrastructure, as most of the schools do not have toilets. Some of the principals cited cases where some of their pupils would go to the bush to ease themselves and would be attacked by snakes and other harmful animals.

This it was learnt occurred as a result of lack of toilets within the school premises for easy defecation. The principals said they would appreciate a situation where the government would equip their schools with necessary infrastructure to make learning conducive.
